It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, that is guaranteed to add to your reading list.

Read Last Week:

I am going to try to find a balance between school and blogging this week. We are getting rid of television this week, so I am sure I will find more time to do things!

Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks:  I loved this book!!! I loved it so much that I picked it as my book club choice for March. Review Thursday.

The Undead Pool by Kim Harrison: I went to the book launch and book signing last Tuesday and had a blast! I will post about it on Tuesday. And this book!!!! OMG!! Has anyone read it? If you want to talk to me about it, email me! I am excited to talk about it with someone!

The Headless Cupid by Zilpha Keatley Snyder: I read this as part of the Newbery Challenge I am participating in. It was pretty good! Review Wednesday.

Reading This Week:

The Radleys by Matt Haig: I started this last week, and I really liked what I read so far!

Belle Cora by Phillip Margulies: I am so excited to read this book!

  2. Good luck w/ the television thing, we gave up cable a while back and haven't really missed it (occasionally we do). We read a ton more now though...

    1. Yeah, I have a feeling I am going to be a lot more productive. I didn't think I watched much television, but when we looked at it, it was more than I thought.

  3. Year of Wonders was fantastic. Geraldine Brooks is a quality author. I also really enjoyed People of the Book and March by her. Caleb's Crossing is on my TBR list - must get to it! You can check out my week here http://kyliesreads.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/its-monday-what-are-you-reading.html

    1. That was my first introduction to her, and I loved it!! I feel so weird going around telling people I love this book about the plague, but it was so much more than that. I am going to have to check out more of her stuff.

  4. Finding a balance between all aspects of life can be tough some times. We don't own a TV, but Netflix is so distracting! I try to multitask now, as we speak I'm watching The Good Wife and doing blog bits.
    Happy Reading!

  5. I have been debating with myself about getting The Undead Pool now or waiting until summer for the paperback. Thus far, waiting is winning. I already have a full reading calendar and don't know when I'd be able to fit in another book. Come see my Monday Report. Have a great week!

  6. It has been absolutely ages since I last read Zilpha Keatley Snyder! I loved her books when I was a kid - and if I ever have any of my own they're going to be mandatory bedtime reading!

  7. I've read two of Geraldine Brooks' books. You have to read People of the Book. I think you'd like it. I need to read this one!

  8. Bella Cora sounds like it would be right up my alley. For that matter, I need to make sure I catch your review of Year of Wonders too. I'm kind of on a historical fiction kick.

    1. Belle Cora is really good so far! If only I didn't fall asleep so easily at night, I would probably be farther along. Lol.

  9. I remember equally loving and being freaked out by The Egypt Game by Zilpha Keatley Snyder when I was a kid. The Headless Cupid sounds like it would produce a similar reaction for me now! Year of Wonders looks very interesting. I'm looking forward to reading your review on Thursday.

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
