It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, that is guaranteed to add to your reading list.
It was a rough week as I suspected. I had a lot of writing projects due for my classes, and I have my big projects due very soon as well. I am going to be a busy girl for a few weeks. I only had the opportunity to read half of my book from last week.
Read (partially) Last Week:
The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman: I am only halfway through this book, but I am in love with it. It has definitely sucked me in.
Reading This Week:
The Museum of Extraordinary Things by Alice Hoffman: I will be happily finishing this up this week.
The Magpies by Mark Edwards: I saw this flashing on Goodreads, and of course, the name piqued my curiosity. I knew I had to read it!!
Posted Last Week:

ReplyDeleteI am totally immersed in the story!
DeleteI'm starting this week part way through a book I started last week too - The Visitors - and am pretty blown away myself. I love it when I find a read that takes me by surprise as The Visitors has. I'm looking forward to a future review of The Museum of Extraordinary Things.

I really loved the Hoffman book! The Magpies turned out to be a DNF. :(
DeleteThe Museum of Extraordinary Things does look interesting. Did you get a new background? It looks good. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI loved it! I did get a new background, thanks for noticing! :) I wanted something a little more summery/springlike. :)
DeleteYessSssSs (parseltongue excitement), glad to hear that Museum of Extraordinary Things is immersive.
ReplyDeleteSo I clicked on your link to Magpies and the plot is terrifying. lol. I'm the sort of person who watches one, maybe two horror movies per year because it takes me about six months to get over each one. :P Especially when there's no way you can prove their scary premises are wrong. :O The plot of Magpies is morbidly intriguing though, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it.
Lol love your parseltongued excitement! It was so good! It was a book I had to bring with me to work and just keep reading when I could.
DeleteI ended up not being able to finish The Magpies. I can't handle as much scary as I used to.
