It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

I love October! October through December is my favorite time of the year. I love fall, everything about it (except for maybe the crazy aggressive bees!). Like a squirrel, I am making plans and getting ready, and look forward to enjoying my favorite season before the winter sends us into hibernation.

Read Last Week:

Menagerie by Rachel Vincent: I have been wanting to read this for forever! I devoured it. I greedily hoarded all my available moments and to read it, even if it was just five minutes. It was so good! Review soon.

Reading This Week:

Crossing my fingers I have some time to read this week! It's midterm week, and Wyatt and I have some sort of appointment every single day this week, on top of it all. Actually, fingers crossed I make it through this week! Lol.

And the Trees Crept In by Dawn Kurtagich: I am looking forward to reading this, although I am already certain I will be freaked out!

Watching:

The Great British Bake Off (yay!), The Paradise, The Good Place (this is hilarious!)

Posted Last Week:

What have you all been up to?

  1. I think there are good and bad things about fall. I love apple cider and pumpkin pie. This year it looks like food companies have gone crazy with their pumpkin spice products. There are Pumpkin Spice Twinkies, Pumpkin Spice Life cereal, Pumpkin Spice Nutri-grain Bars and even Pumpkin Spice Fudge Stripe cookies. My favorite is the Pumpkin Spice Oreos which I used to make truffles last year. Yum!

I have heard really good things about Menagerie but never read it. And the Trees Crept In looks like a good pick for this time of year.

I was sad to hear about The Great British Bake Off. It looks like lots of things are changing with Mary Berry leaving and the show changing channels. I don't know if it will be as good. She always balanced Paul really well.

Hope you have a great week and find time to read too :)

  2. I love October, and hope there's lots of spooky themed shenanigans throughout the blogosphere this month. :) And Menagerie is one I wanted to read but never got to- love the sound of it. Sounds like it was good, so I'll have to move it up on my list. I need to find some good spooky reads this month.

We had some bees (or hornets I guess) build ground nests in our yard, so had to deal with that this year.

  3. Good luck on midterms; I don't miss school. Husband is procrastinatin' like hell on writing up his Master's thesis. I bug him every weekend. I'm glad the first book was a good read; I'm interested in your thoughts on that one.

  5. Good luck surviving your busy week! Menagerie is the only Rachel Vincent book that I haven't read. The blurb didn't grab me. Now, I'll have to go find a copy. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

It sounds like you've got quite the week ahead of you. The book you're currently reading looks great, so I hope you have time to read it! The cover is pretty creepy!

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
