It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a weekly blog meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey where you list the books you read last week and the ones you hope to read this week.

Read Last Week:

The White Forest by Adam McOmber:  I am still reading this actually.  I am enjoying it so far, but the font is too small for my eyes! Lol.  It is making it hard to read for long.  I am reading it on a Nook, I don't know if I can adjust the font size?

The Sisters Montclair by Cathy Holton:  I really enjoyed this book!!! Set in the south, old houses, old families, mystery ~ I love it all.

The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh: This book blew me away with how good it was.  It even made a little teary is some places.

Into the Pumpkin by Linda Franklin:  I thought this book had wonderful illustrations.  I did get a little cranky with a part of it though. And I always feel badly when I say something negative about a book when it is my own personal pet peeve.

Reading this week:

I am setting the bar high for myself my first week back to work, and because I am still working on White Forest. I don't think I will get through all of these, but I am going to give it a whirl!

A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick:  My stepmom gave this to me to read.  It sounds very intriguing!!

Kept by Shawntelle Madison:  I requested this from NetGalley because the blurb said that fans of Patricia Briggs would enjoy it. I like Patricia Briggs, so it would be great to find another author like her.

The White Glove War by Katie Crouch and Grady Hendrix:  I read the The Magnolia League last summer, and I forgot about the second one until last week when I saw it on someone else's blog! I really do need to write down where I find out about books.

  4. I think you can change the font size under Preferences, that's what a friend with a Nook said! I love the cover for 'The White Glove War', it looks so cold and gorgeous at the same time! Thanks for sharing :)

    1. Thanks I will look into that! And that is a perfect way to describe the cover, and actually a few of the characters from what I remember of The Magnolia League. ;)

  5. I really enjoyed The White Forest, so I'm happy to see someone else reading it too. It was nothing like how I thought it would be!

  7. I haven't read Language of Flowers - but it does look amazingly good. Gorgeous language in the excerpts that I've read.

    Happy reading this week :)

  8. I have The Language of Flowers on my TBR. My favorite book this week was Strangers on a Train by Patricia Highsmith. Please come see what I'm reading now.

  9. I'm pretty sure text size is adjustable in the nook. I still read paper books (Haven't joined the ereading crowd yet) and get annoyed when the print is way too tiny.

I loved Language of Flowers, such an original book. Although I did get a little upset with Victoria a few times!

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
