It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

It's Monday What Are You Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, where we share what we are reading and see what others are reading as well.

Read Last Week:

I took out two of the big players on my TBR list, and they were awesome!!

Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater: Loved loved loved. So good. Review Thursday.

Doctor Sleep by Stephen King: Omg, so amazing, so scary!! I loved it, and didn't want to finish it but had to keep reading! Review Wednesday.

Reading this Week:

I guess I have a witch theme this week!

Winds of Salem by Melissa de la cruz: The third installment in the witches of east end series, and we go back in time to the salem witch trials!

Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood: I have heard good things about this, we shall see.

  1. I meant to read Born Wicked when it was published last year but never got around to it. I hope you enjoy it!

I've heard really good things about that Maggie Stiefvater series but haven't tried it yet. I have a love/hate relationship with her books. I love the writing style but sometimes the pacing drags and I was very disappointed by Forever. I bought Scorpio Races but I haven't read it yet either. I think I'd like this series and The Scorpio Races more than the Wolves of Mercy Falls if I could bring myself to give them a chance!

    1. I meant to read it as well, then I could never get it! I forgot about until this month, I am looking forward to it.

To be honest, this is one of the only series by Stiefvater I am in love with. The Wolves of Mercy Falls was ok, but I had to be in the right mood for it. I haven't read The Scorpio Races either. :( But this series is wonderful!

  7. I can't wait to read The Dream Thieves! The Raven Boys was so good and I can only imagine that The Dream Thieves is even better. I'm not sure if Doctor Sleep will ever make it to my reading list, I didn't care for The Shining so doesn't make a lot of sense for me to read the sequel.

    1. No, if you didn't like The Shining, Doctor Sleep will not interest you either. :) Best to stay away. I loved The Dream Thieves! At first, I thought it was a bit slow, then all of a sudden, I couldn't stop reading it was so good!

    1. Omg it was soooo good right? I was trepidatious at first, but King once again proved his awesomeness. :) The Raven Boys had my name all over it from the beginning - small town, boarding school, supernatural stuff..all of those things are things I love in a book. :)

  9. I am obsessed with Born Wicked! Honestly you have to read it just to get to Star Cursed. Fair Warning, the ending to SC will literally take your breath way. I have yet to recover. Spotswood did one heck of a number on me with this series. Can't wait till Sister's Fate is out! Happy reading! :D

    Here is our list

By the way, we are giving away a signed ARC of Wild Cards by Simone Elkeles on the blog. Make sure to stop by and enter! :)
