It' Monday, What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a weekly blog meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey where you list the books you read last week and the ones you hope to read this week.

Read Last Week:

Well, I thought it was going to be a slow reading week and it was. I just had bunches to do with yearbook being due and book club at my house. This week it will be nice to relax with a book. And catch up on reviews..

I only read:

Anyone but You by Jennifer Crusie: Very cute and fun.  There was a different dynamic in the book that I enjoyed.

Reading this Week:

Ok, I am going to change these up a bit from last week. I will still read those books, but not this week.

Farewell, Dorothy Parker by Ellen Meister: I won this from Librarything and I am so so excited to read it.  I LOVE Dorothy Parker - if I could go back in time and hang out with someone, it would be her.  It will be interesting to see how the main character channels her.

History of a Pleasure Seeker by Richard Mason: This is our book club book for March.  And for those of you who like Dan Stevens (Matthew Crawley from Downton Abbey), he narrates the audio book.

  3. I love Dorothy Parker too! Love her dry wit. Why have I not heard of this book? Going to have to add this one to list of books to read this year.

  5. Happy reading! haven't tried Jennifer Cruise, contemporary books are usually hit-or-miss for me :)

    1. Yeah, I can't say they are my favorite genre to read, but I definitely do read some. This book was kind of a fun filler after reading Between Shades of Gray and Days of Blood and Starlight, which were so intense. :)

  6. I read 2 Jennifer Cruise books. One I loved and one was very disappointing. Should I give this one a go? You know me enough to help me make that decision!

    1. The pressure! Lol. Um..I read this book as kind of a "break", which I hate to say about any book, but I considered it like a commercial between a couple of intense books. These work for me in that capacity because they are quick and easy and fluffy. It took me about 90 minutes to read. I would tell you not to go out of your way to read it, unless you are looking for something rather mindless to relax a bit. :)

  8. History of a Pleasure Seeker sounds enticing. *I'm a pleasure seeker* (in an innocent way). It's good that you finally have some time to yourself to read :-)

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
