The Sunday Post/It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

The Sunday Post/It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

The weather was cold and icky and rainy all week, then boom - beautiful for the weekend. I can live with that! It was good weather for sleeping, according to my son, who took great naps this week. Lol. Usually I catch up on housework or other work while he naps, but this week I decided to read instead. I am glad that I did, it was nice downtime for me too.

Read Last Week:

We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson: I loved this book! I immediately requested a few more Jackson books from the library, I loved it so much. At 160ish pages, it is a good short read too.

In Farleigh Field by Rhys Bowen: I enjoyed this one as well! I don't usually read books set during wars, but this one I really liked. My review is up if you are interested.

Reading This Week:

I went to the library and came home with a ton of books, between my stack and the boy's. I think I have narrowed it down to these two.

Life Among the Savages by Shirley Jackson

Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs (so excited!)

Delivered:

I received two books this week, yay for book mail!

Watching:

Riverdale, The Path, Big Little Lies (although, now it is done! noo), Trial and Error. iZombie started again but we are going to let the episodes build up before starting it. We also added 13 Reasons Why, which is amazing, but I had to take a break, espeically with watching Big Little Lies too. So much violence toward women, it was almost overload. Both shows are excellent though.

  1. It's beautiful this weekend after such a rainy week! It's so warm today I don't know what to d with it! lol but no complaints. Silence Fallen does look good, and now that I've read a Mercy thompson I want to continue.

Same here with Riverdale, and I've been dipping my toes back in the Netflix waters again. :)

  2. I was happy to see the sun after a week of rain and then snow. Today the high was near 70.

I want to watch 13 Reasons Why but I kind of feel like I should read the book first. I am looking forward to reading In Farleigh Field.

Hope you have a great week!

    1. I think it is about to hit here very soon. We went for a walk just now and it was chilly, cutting our walk a little short. It was still nice though. :)

    1. Thanks! I am intrigued by that one, I like that it was written by a journalist, and is based on a true story.

  11. You found some interesting books recently. Do you have to bring a rolling luggage to cart it all because you got Wyatt and I know those picture books are big and heavy. I make my girls lug their own books; their mama is not as strong as she used to be.

    1. We usually do family library night now, just so my husband can carry either Wyatt or the books! Lol. Otherwise I stuff them into a tote bag and my arm breaks off. We do that too, of course. Lol.

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
