It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, that is guaranteed to add to your reading list.
I kind of fell off the face of the earth for a bit there! We had an out of town wedding and I have seemed to have caught my annual fall cold. Blah. I am feeling a bit better though so yay!
Read Last Week:
Ghost Stories of Michigan by Dan Asfar: I am in the mood for ghost stories, and this fit the bill.
The Cater Street Hangman by Anne Perry: A reread, but enjoyable.
Reading This Week:
Thornyhold and Wildfire At Midnight - I think I might be able to use these as part of the R.I.P. Challenge as well! My goal is to read and review these this week.
both of your finished books last week look really good! the hangman one, yeah i wanna read it!
ReplyDeleteHere is my It's Monday post
The Cater Street Hangman was good! The front of the book stated that it was a Victorian Murder Mystery, and that was a perfect description. :)
DeleteI've never read a book by Anne Perry, I'm thinking I should sometime.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your reads!
My It's Monday! Post

She's fun! They are pretty gentle mystery reads, I like them as comfort books. :)
DeleteI haven't read Mary Stewart for a long time but I intend reading Thornyhold before the year is out.
ReplyDeleteI'm still hoping to squeeze in Nine Coaches Waiting for Mary Stewart Week... looks like you're all set!
ReplyDeleteOoo I love that one! Good choice!
DeleteAll four of my Daughters have come down with the usual "Fall Cold" Here is my Monday That, and the oldest has a secondary Impetigo infection, poor thing is on Bactrim, and all red. :-(
ReplyDeleteOh no!! Hopefully they feel better soon!!
DeleteIs the Hangman one creepy? I'm usually on the fence with creepy, but that cover looks great.
ReplyDeleteIt's not super creepy. It is described as a Victorian murder mystery, and that was a good way to describe it. Pretty harmless. :)
DeleteI used to read Mary Stewart years and years ago. I read Wildfires at Midnight but not the other. Have a good week and glad you feel better now.
ReplyDeleteIt will be my first reading of Wildfires at Midnight, I am excited to get it! Thanks Rita!
DeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better. It looks like you have some good books, especially for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat! I feel so autumnal right now, I am ready to dive right in to fall.
DeleteAll of the four featured look really good! I definitely want to read them. I have never read Anne Perry, but have heard good things.
ReplyDeleteThey are such comfort reads for me! I like a cozy mystery when I need a book to snuggle with.
DeleteI'm just getting over my fall cold, as well. It always seems to hit right after the first week of school. Looks like you've got a lot of good books to scare your cold away, though. :) Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI know right! What the heck!
DeleteIt seems like the book are working! Feeling better here everyday. :)
Spooky reads for the win! :) I hope you are feeling better! I just went through a horrible cold myself. Bleh.
