It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, that is guaranteed to add to your reading list.
One more week, then schools out for summer!!!
Read Last Week:
I lied last week, and read none of those books! I ended up voraciously reading cookbooks all week. I have my garden all planted, and I can't wait to start making some fresh meals this summer straight from my own backyard!
Reading This Week:
The Interestings by Meg Wolitzer: I started this last week, and while I like it, I have not yet been pulled into it's grip to the point I can't put it down. So far, its ok, I like it.
Finding Me by Michelle Knight with Michelle Burford: I can't imagine the horrors this poor woman has faced.
Posted Last Week:
I was apparently all about editions last week.
Hmm sounds like good food ahead. I have a couple of sisters who are fab at cooking, I am not so good. I love eating their meals though! Looking forward to seeing a pic of those vegetables etc growing in a few weeks time!
ReplyDeleteI am a terrible baker! I am an ok cook; my husband is pretty good, and we cook together a lot for fun. :) I love trying new recipes! :)
DeleteOh those cookbooks make me want to get straight in the kitchen and cook up a storm. I love using produce straight from the garden but at the moment the only things doing well are my herbs, spring onions and shallots. The grasshoppers have devoured the rest lol. Have a great week and happy reading :)
ReplyDeleteOh no! That reminds me of Laura Ingalls - all those grasshoppers! My cucumbers and lima beans are looking good so far. :)
DeleteThose cookbooks all look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love them! They are so big and heavy but they are worth it for all the gorgeous photos.
Delete"I lied last week, and read none of those books!" LOL. Mood reading at its finest. :) Oh, man. Those cookbooks look fantastic. Thank you for the links to those.
ReplyDeleteLol! Yes, I am so guilty of doing that here, saying one thing and reading another. ;) Those books are amazing, but be warned huge and heavy! Lol.
DeleteFor some reason I thought of that Alice Cooper song when I read your sentence about school being out. LOL. Must have been the Throwback Thursday post...
ReplyDeleteI bet there's some good food in that Tuscany cookbook. :)
You must have channeled my thoughts while I was typing that - I definitely had that song running through my head. :)
DeleteOh man, I want to eat almost everything in that book! Almost because I am a vegetarian and there are some meat recipes, but everything else, yum!
I didn't read what I had planned on reading last week either. I was much happier with what I did choose. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteSometimes changing your plan is for the best! :)
DeleteI love asparagus fresh from the garden. Enjoy your yummy meals this summer!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds amazing! I have never planted asparagus; maybe next year I will!
