It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

Rough week at our house! Wyatt had his first cold, and also his first tooth broke ground the other day! These two firsts have made for a week of sleepless nights ~ for him and us. Poor guy. He is doing better today though. It's been hard on us to watch him suffering so! I got a lot of reading done, since he wanted to sleep a lot while being held, but not much time to do anything else. But I got lots and lots of Wyatt cuddles time!

We also had our first snowstorm of the year Saturday night!! It was crazy! Some areas around us got over 10 inches. We only got about 4 but it was nuts to go from sunny and high 60s to 4 inches of snow! Maybe the weather knew I started reading Christmas books?

Read This Week:

A Cold Creek Christmas Story: It was nice to fall into this happy little tale during such a stressful, tiring week. Review soon! (hopefully)

Stitches in Time: A reread but a good one. It's been nice to read Michaels again.

Reading This Week:

My husband got me the Amazon Fire I asked for for my birthday - yay for ebooks again and my NetGalley list!

Watching:

The usuals - iZombie, The Originals, Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead
We are also going to start Jessica Jones tonight and check that out. I have heard good things about it!

  1. Oh, poor Wyatt! I hope he feels better soon and that you get a chance to rest too.

I hate snow! I was glad we didn't get any where I live (we were originally supposed to get just an inch but it was all rain). I am hoping we won't see any heavy snow till after Christmas. I am so not ready for it!

The RaeAnn Thayne books look good and so does the Sheila Roberts novel. Perfect for this time of year. I'm in the mood for something light.

  2. I'm reading a RaeAnne Thayne book this week, too...Snow Angel Cove. It will be my first by the author, but I've been eyeing the covers for a while. Enjoy! Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES

  3. Poor Wyatt, teething and colds are such a miserable time for them (and parents). Whoa all that snow is crazy, I could do with a bucket load on my head right now lol ... another scorching hot and humid day here. Hope Wyatt improves quickly and you get a chance to rest and sleep.

  4. Was that snow crazy or what? We didn't get a lot, but enough to make it slippery. The trees did look nice. OK it can go away now LOL.

Hope little guy is feeling better. You guys have a great week. :)

  5. Some nice Christmas reads, and now you have some snow to make them feel really seasonal. I hate seeing little ones suffering, so hard because they can't say and they snuffle away with a cold. Stay well.

  7. Poor little guy - his first cold and tooth at the same time? Poor parent, too... Hope this week is better. Sounds like you're enjoying the Amazon Fire. Happy Thanksgiving!

  8. Ah, poor Wyatt! It's hard when your little one isn't doing too good and all you want to do is take his suffering away. Hopefully his through the worst of it now!

How do you like the Amazon Fire? I've asked for one for Xmas to replace my Kindle, which is way old now.

I hope you enjoy your books this week and have a lovely Thanksgiving!

  9. I enjoyed those Christmas stories; and I LOVE my Kindle Fire. Actually, I end up doing more reading on my bottom of the line Kindle--less distractions.

  10. How is it reading on the Kindle Fire? I just have a touch and enjoy reading on it. We just got a dusting of snow Friday night which has disappeared in all but shady areas by today. This is what I read last week. Happy reading!

  12. It is sometimes harder on the parents than the child who is sick! Hope he is feeling better. We lucked out with the snow and only received 4 inches. Already starting to melt with the sunshine. Hope your have a great week.

  13. I hope your little guy is feeling all better! I added Jessica Jones to our queue but we need to finish some of our other series before we start a new one. I'll be curious to see what you think! Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your week!

  15. My husband has been binging on Jessica Jones. It seems to be typical Marvel. I like how your husband paid attention to what you wanted for your birthday. I love when mine gets me something I really want/need and it's even better when he surprises me like getting me the Kindle Paperwhite earlier this year b/c he didn't like how I was manually typing in words and stuff. I'm sorry Wyatt suffered with his first cold. As a parent I hate being helpless. My nephew is almost one but he gets sick all the time since his toddler sister was in daycare and now in preschool, bringing home them germs. One time he was really congested and wheezed all the time. I hope Wyatt has kicked that bug by now and will be able to fight it better next time.

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
