The Sunday Post/It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday What Are You Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.

Last week got away from me! Can anyone else believe that it is almost October? Where does the time go? This is my favorite time of the year so I am pretty darn excited. The nights are cooler, the air crisper, everything seems a bit nicer to me in the fall. Except those darn bees! They are so aggressive in the fall.

I took photos of my little niece the other day - she is beautiful and I wanted to share a photo of her with all of you. She has so much hair! We are all enamored of her, including Wyatt who grabbed her hand. Then he tried to put it in his mouth, but he did hold her hand. Lol.

Book Club is this week! I can't wait, it has been too long! So many of our members have had babies in the past two months though, including our book club host who gave birth to a little girl two weeks ago, that this month we are doing a book show and tell. We are each bringing books with us that we have enjoyed and sharing with the rest of the club.

Read Last Week:

Mums Like Us by Laura Kemp: This was hilarious! I could relate to quite a bit of it. Lol. I have been reading it off and on for the past few weeks.

Deceptions by Kelley Armstrong: This series gets better and better!

Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury: Banned Book week! My post will be up Tuesday.

Reading This Week:

The Night Sister by Jennifer McMahon: I am finally in the mood for spooky and scary!!

Watching:

We just finished up Season 1 and 2 of Penny Dreadful - omg it was amazing!! It was gruesome at times but we loved it. I can't wait for the next season. We are still watching Hell on Wheels and I am finishing up The 100. I think we might start Bates Motel soon while we wait for some of our old favorites to resume this fall. My husband started Blindspot, and enjoyed the first episode.

  1. Your niece is so cute! Penny Dreadful eh? I watched one episode so maybe I should give this tv series a try. I'm always looking on Shomi for a good tv series to watch. I've seen all the ones that are available in Canada so far . Anyway have a great week!

  3. I think I'd like fall more if winter wasn't so soon after it. I do like the pumpkin desserts and apple cider and Halloween.

    Lovely picture of your niece!

Hope you have a great time at book club. My book groups meet on Tuesday.

    1. Yeah, I am not looking forward to winter. Although it sounds like this winter might now be as rough? That would be nice after the super low temps we have been getting. Snow would be nice though, for Wyatt's first winter. At least one snow. Lol.

I had a pumpkin donut the other day and it was amazing.

      Thanks!

Have fun at your book groups! :)

  4. Sept. flew by. I love this time of year too, looking forward to October... bring on the crisp air! Speaking of bees, we had a ground hornet nest and good thing I saw it before I ran the lawnmower over it... LOL. that wouldn't have fun!

Are you liking The 100? I finished up Dark Matter and am watching Continuum now. I thought Blindspot was pretty good.

    1. It really did, it is crazy. October/November are my favorite months of the year - as long as summer doesn't encroach upon October. Lol. Omg! Yes, good thing you saw it! My uncle was actually stung by 4 bees the other day - this time of year is so bad for them. We tried taking a walk and I felt like they were swarming around us!

I am really liking The 100! I am trying to catch up before the new season starts - if it already hasn't. Lol. My husband watched Dark Matter and really liked it.

  5. Aww your little niece is adorable, all that hair too. Every month I say I can't believe how fast the month disappeared, I thought it was just because I was getting older, my dad always says that lol. I'm starting on The 100 thanks to Greg's recommendation and we're getting Blindspot fast tracked from the US so it's recording. Between that and the new seasons of Scandal, Grey's Anatomy and Downton Abbey phew I might not have time to read lol
Looking forward to all the posts for Banned Books Week ... I'm doing kid's books.

    1. Thanks! And her hair is so crazy thick- from birth! Time does fly - I swear more now that I have a child! That was a great recommendation from Greg, I am enjoying it as well. I was a little nervous about it but it's really good!

I'm excited to see your post! I usually do a kids book for banned books week, I switched it up this time. I kind of like the kids books better!

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
