Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
Thanks to everyone for the well wishes for my aunt last week. She has come through a lot in the past two weeks and she still has her struggles but she is hanging tough.
Read Last Week:
I am still reading Anne of Green Gables, but I finished Season of Wonder and Flight Patterns. I loved them both! I really needed a Christmas romance, there is nothing happier I don't think. And Flight Patterns was really well done; I could not stop reading it. So good!
Reading This Week:
This book sounds interesting - I am intrigued by the blurb calling the bed and breakfast "mysterious". Looking forward to reading it this week! I am also going to keep reading Anne. :)
Watching:
Glow, Series of Unfortunate Events, 13 Reasons Why. We have been holed up a little bit this weekend, due to the horrific heatwave! We did go swimming yesterday but for the most part, we have been hanging out inside, crafting, reading, watching tv, listening to music. It is much harder to hunker down these days, with a three year old who just wants to outside all the time! It is just too hot right now, especially for my guy who has a hard time regulating to high temperatures.
How about all of you? How is it going?
Glad to hear about your aunt, and continued best wishes to her for a full recovery. All The Little Lights does look interesting.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh the heat! Stop!! Ha we just got back from Traverse- we had beautiful weather and the day we left- Friday- was the day it got batshit hot. So glad to be home in the AC! lol
I never finished S1 of Glow, but I did watch 13 Reasons and S2 just recently. Lots to take in there.
Thanks Greg.
DeleteThis heat is the worst! I melt. Lol.
13 Reasons is so intense! I am pretty sure I cry every episode. Glow is so good!!! We binged season 2 pretty hard core. Lol.
I'm glad to hear that your aunt is doing better!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is hard to be stuck inside with active kids! So far, our weather has been quite nice, but we usually get our scorchers in August...so I'm sure that I'll be stuck inside my fair share as well!
Thank you! :)
DeleteOh my gosh. It is so hard. I feel like we did all the things - puzzles, toys, coloring, a craft project with stuff I brought in from outside, music (Wyatt's favorite thing on earth is to listen to music), until I was exhausted. Lol. Luckily we were able to get him in the pool in the evenings after it had cooled down a bit. :) Got a little energy out!
Good news about your aunt!
ReplyDeleteI loved Flight Patterns...and that cover on the Anne of Green Gables book is gorgeous. Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
Thanks! She is holding her own!
DeleteFlight Patterns was amazing! I told my mom and sister-in-law they have to read it! I love that cover too. I think I might need to buy that version. :)
Love everything that Karen White writes. All The Little Things does look interesting. So glad you aunt is better.
ReplyDeleteI love Karen White. I can't wait to read her new book!! I am not as enthused about her Tradd Street series, but I do enjoy it enough to keep reading it. Lol. I have a hard time with that main character!
DeleteThank you. :)
I’m glad your aunt is okay. The heat has been awful. I hope you’re able to stay cool and get lots of reading done. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Thank you. And I am so ready for this heatwave to end. :)
DeleteThanks AJ!
Enjoy them all and have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mystica! You too!
DeleteI love the idea of staying indoors and crafting, reading, watching tv, listening to music, ... trying to do that with an active child? I can't imagine.
ReplyDeleteLol yeah it's not that easy. I hate hot weather because it traps us. Wyatt has cerebral palsy, so indoor play areas are not an option, unless I want him knocked down. :( He butt scoots around right now and is so tiny! He also has a hard time regulating his body temp in hot weather - this weekend he just screamed in the car, even with the a/c at the highest setting. :( Luckily, he does enjoy coloring and puzzles and playing with his toys - just not all day! We took him swimming in the evening when it cooled off enough for him to handle the temperature thank goodness.
DeleteI hope your aunt continues to have a good recovery. How loved she must feel with all of you around her, checking up on her, and doing things for her.
