It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

Whew!! I am pretty sure we had our busiest week ever last week!! I am ready for a slowdown this week, for sure. My poor husband worked over 60 hours last week, I had more work at the office than normal (I even did some of it at home!), and of course normal family life stuff. Lol. And of course I had a million things planned on little man's calendar as well, doctors appointments, therapy- it all worked out so that all three of us were super busy! And in the mix we had a funeral and a graduation party. Wyatt and I did some cool stuff together though - we went to a Dinosaur play group and lesson, we went to the art fair, and today we all went to the Belle Isle Kite Festival. We are all exhausted, and in between work, we had fun.

Read Last Week:

I also managed to read during someone's naptime.

I loved both of these books. All the Little Lights kept me guessing! I absolutely loved the secrets in this book. So good.

Reading this Week:

Oh my gosh I am so excited for both of these books!! Dreams of Falling I have been waiting for like forever; Picnic at Hanging Rock, I learned of it from Jennifer at Book Den, and wanted to read it. Then I watched the Amazon mini-series, and now I want to read it more than ever!

Series of Unfortunate Events, the Tour de France

How about you all? How is your world?

  1. Wow you did have a busy week! I got tired just reading it! :) The Belle Isle Kite Festival sounds like a blast!!

I've heard really good things about The Penderwick's? It looks like a fun wholesome series.

    1. It was super crazy. I am not sure how that all happened like that. Lol. The kite festival was pretty cool. This year there were not any huge kites, it just wasn't windy enough, but there were a few. There was live music, food trucks, lots of other stuff happening though. :)

The Penderwicks was exactly that. A fun wholesome series. Well, I have only read the first but I am going to read the rest. Love this little family. :)

    2. I love food trucks! We went t osome up in Traverse City recently, they have that little place where the food trucks gather... and we used to go to the Grand Haven kite festival every May (I think)- but we haven't been there in a while.

  2. Just reading what you accomplished last week made me tired. You did read some nice books though. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. It was nutso! Never again. Lol. I am a person who tries to be

  3. I recently read that Penderwicks book. I have the next one on hand to read soon. I'm finally home from an eight day trip. My weekly updates

  4. Wow, that’s a lot of stuff to do in a week. Picnic At Hanging Rock is on my TBR list, so hopefully we both like it. Have a good week and enjoy your books.

Aj @ Read All The Things!

  5. It sounds like you guys worked a lot this week! I hope things are a bit more calm for you this week.

  6. What a busy week you had. Today is R&R which feels wonderful. Now to figure out dinner...

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
