The Sunday Post/It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

Ugh last week Wyatt and I were sick. We did a lot of nothing, basically chilled and rested. I didn't read my intended book, I just didn't feel well enough. But today we are on the upswing, and it is a bright sunny day, so things are looking better.

We bought Wyatt a little play kitchen though, since flu season is horrendous this year, and we are keeping out of public areas as much as we can. He loves it, and I have to admit, I like to play with it too! We drink endless cups of "tea" and "coffee" together. :)

That's one of our three cats, Marlow. Wyatt is Marlow's person. He is always next to him, just hanging out.

Read Last Week:

This historical romance was perfect for last week!

Reading This Week:

I inadvertently made February into Fantasy fiction reading month! I picked up a bunch of my library holds and they were all fantasy. Lol. Anywhoo, I am halfway through Spectacle already. I really enjoyed Menagerie and this one is just as good. Next up will be Neverknight - my husband is currently listening to it so it will be fun to talk about with him. And he is absolutely loving it, so even better.

Watching:

Alias Grace - this was amazing. I really need to read the book.

Riverdale - I love this show. Jughead's character evolution kind of bothers me a little, I think he went "all in" a little too quickly.

Grace and Frankie - so happy these two are back on! And last but not least, Top Chef, an old favorite of ours.

And that's really it for our week - it was kind of low key, filled with pretend tea, runny noses and Winnie the Pooh movies. How about you? How was your week?

  1. I'm loving the sunshine, finally! Hope you guys are feeling better... this flu season has been rough.

I'm loving Riverdale too, but yeah not sure about Juggy lately. :)

    1. He was always my favorite character too! I feel he just was too suddenly all in with the Serpents, and now it is like he never attended Riverdale High. It's weird. :( I do like the whole "Black Betty" storyline though. I like that twist on her squeaky clean character.

    2. Exactly this! He's all in with the Serpents, and I'm like, no you used to GO to Riverdale High and he's like all acting like a Southsider.

    1. Thanks! And they are so cute together. :) I love G & F! I joke that my good friend and I are going to grow up like the two of them - she is Grace, and I am Frankie. Lol.

  4. I'm glad you are feeling better. I've been trying to stay away from groups of people so I don't catch it. Of course, tomorrow I'll be at my doctor's office so I picked a bad place to be. I haven't read Mary Jo Putney for years but enjoyed her when I did. I also have Menagerie on my Kindle but haven't read it yet. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

    1. Us too! We are trying to hibernate the best that we can! The conveniences of online living make it a lot easier, that is for sure, even for groceries! I think that is what happened with us - Wyatt has therapy twice a week and I think we probably picked up a little something while there. :( I try to limit all other public places though.

I loved Menagerie, and I finished Spectacle today. I really enjoyed it!

  5. I have Alias Grace in my Netflix queue, but haven't yet watched it. I, too, want to read the book.

Thanks for sharing...and for visiting my blog.

  8. My niece and nephew got a play kitchen for Christmas in 2016 and they still play with it all the time!
I think I have a Mary Jo Putney book buried somewhere in my to-read stacks. If only I could figure out where it is!

  9. I'm glad you and Wyatt are on the mend, girlfriend. The flu is insane this year. I LOVE his play kitchen; can I come over and play too? I like tea. You have eyeball-missile-lock covers in this post. You've reminded me Menagerie is one I'd like to read and should move it up as well as Nevernight; I'll see if the library has that. And I do like a gun in a woman's hands on a cover. I'll look up that series.

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
