It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
So this week we toured Wyatt's future preschool. It's hard for me to believe that he will be going this year! I am not ready, I want to keep my peanut at home with me. He is starting because his Early On program ages kids out at 3, and he needs the extra help before starting school. This place is perfectly suited for physically challenged kids, with great support services. And my kid is so social - he is going to love being with the other kids! Although, I will be freaking out at home. Or in the parking lot with a book, so I can stay close....lol.
Read Last Week:
Spectacle was so good! I really enjoy this crazy series. I also read Twist of Faith, which was....hmm. I started off gung ho but then by the end, I wasn't feeling it as much. Review soon.
Reading This Week:
So I really wanted to read The November Girl for its whole Michigan thing - Lake Superior and Isle Royale, all that. But I also promised my husband I would read Nevernight, and since he always reads what I suggest, I need to get on it. Lol. So I will probably be reading both this week. :)
Watching:
Riverdale, Outlander, Grace and Frankie (or Frankie and Grace, I can never remember), Home Town. Watching Outlander makes me want to move to Scotland so bad! I even googled it the other day. My grandma is from Scotland and we still have family there, so maybe one day I will at least visit. :)
How about you all? How was your week?
I need to read that Vincent series- you'd think with the paranormal creatures and the weird circus/ traveling show/ whatever it is that I would gravitate to that. But I never seem to get to it. Soon hopefully... and that book set in Lake Superior?? Yes please! I so need to get that. I love books set in Michigan. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of Riverdale lately? Is it me or is it getting kinda strange?
It is getting strange! It is like there is this dark version of each character that we are seeing. And they have referenced Lovecraft like 3 times this season. I wonder if it has something to do with that, although what I can't guess.
DeleteThe Vincent series is really entertaining!I wasn't sure I was going to like this one, it seemed like more of the same, but there was a different enough spin on it that I still really enjoyed it!
I love Michigan settings too. :) I have read a bit of it, and so far it is pretty good. Although, a little harsh on middle aged people...lol.
I really need to catch up with Rachel Vincent's books. I haven't even started that series. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy it! :) This month I have so much fantasy on my list, it's weird. Lol.
DeleteI LOVE Grace and Frankie, and the newest season has been my favorite...so far.
ReplyDeleteTwist of Faith caught my eye.
Enjoy your week, and here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
We love it too! We finished it and I am so bummed. :(
DeleteTwist of Faith wasn't too bad. It started off gangbusters, but I feel got a little derailed somewhere.
I've heard a lot of good things about Nevernight! I really need to read that book as soon as possible!

Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog
I am only 20 pages in and I am hooked! It is so good!
DeleteI would love to visit Scotland. You should try to connect to your relatives over there!
ReplyDeleteI would love to! My mom keeps in regular contact with her cousin who lives in Edinburgh - I would love to visit her one day. :)
DeleteI hope Wyatt loves school. I’d like to visit Scotland because I have ancestors from there. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I hope he loves it too. I am a bundle of nerves over it!
DeleteMe too! I would love to go. Maybe one day!
I'm adding Twist of Faith to my wishlist. This week's post
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't too bad, although in my opinion it started off better than it finished, which was a bummer. :)
DeleteOh wow, preschool already? That was fast! I'm glad there is a place where Wyatt's needs will be met. Of course you'll miss him; you'll have to keep yourself busy now. He will have such fun especially since he loves to socialize.
ReplyDeleteOoh, do share about your jook - what you put in it and what ratio water to rice. My mum is now making jook in her instant pot. 1 cup long-grain rice to 6 c water. She also put in smoked hamhocks too.
