Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
Hey all!! I am such a flibbertigibbet these days. I can't focus on one thing for too long, moving from one project to the next. It's even affected my reading! I'm behind on so many things, including reviews. Note to self - do not promise any book reviews for December next year! I need more hours in a day - or else I need to just stop sleeping until Christmas is over.
We took boyo on a walk through the woods, pulling him on a little sled. It was so fun! We also took him to see Santa, where he did ok until they bopped him on the nose with a stuffed animal and he made a wicked little face. Lol. I can't help but wish that would have been his photo expression!
Christmas Eve is next week, I can't believe it! I probably won't be around until after the holiday, so I wish everyone who is celebrating a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate Hanukkah, and well wishes to everyone else as well!
Read Last Week:
I managed to finish this short YA book. I wasn't too excited about it, but I kept reading it because the setting was so unique. The main character lived on a Christmas tree farm most of the year, but the month between Thanksgiving and Christmas, she and her family lived in a trailer on a Christmas tree lot. It was pretty cool, and I learned some neat facts about trees. Lol.
Reading This Week:
I have a whole laundry list of books that I need to be reading, but I am sure I will read some other short, lighthearted read instead.
Watching:
Christmas movies, Riverdale, Top Chef, The Gifted, and Mindhunter. (scary but good, that one)
I pop on Youtube on our TV while I am cleaning, usually to play music, but lately I have been watching vloggers too. My son gets really excited whenever this vlogger named Zoella comes on. Lol. It's cute.
Hey you got some snow ha ha! That's how it looks over here. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat Light does look cute, just from the cover.
Love Christmas movies (and Riverdale of course). I'm only two epsidoes in to The Gifted.
We did!! I was whiny that I guess it decided to snow over here too! We had two days of pretty big accumulations. Yay!
DeleteWhat Light wasn't too bad. :)
Riverdale has been so good this season!
I can’t concentrate either! There’s just so much going on. It feels like I’m constantly running around but never getting anything done. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
Exactly! Then I go to bed at night and pass out. Lol.
DeleteWhat good boy, not freaking out at Santa. We never took the girls; they would have freaked.
ReplyDeleteHe's been pretty good with Santa! He really likes attention and getting his picture taken though. LOL.
DeleteLook at the snow! I do my top tens and read mostly from my tbr pile in December as I know it gets crazy! Hope this week is a good one for you.
ReplyDeleteNext year, I am not committing. I must have been crazy! Lol.
DeleteI need to turn on music more!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the holidays...I love that snow picture. I am curious about What Light.
Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
My son loves music! He is always always asking for me to put music on. How can I say no? Well, I do sometimes but he does get music a lot. Lol.
DeleteThanks! And it wasn't too bad - it wasn't great either though. I would give it a 2.5 out of 5.
Happy holidays to you too! I just finished a YA that didn't grab me much too. On the other hand, I have lots of books on the stack that look interesting. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteYou always have a ton of great looking books in your pile! :) I was kind of disappointed in What Light. Probably because I just read a YA that I really liked, Kiss Me in New York. Super cute. And thanks!
DeleteMy little guy went out on a sled last week, too, and he loved it! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWe had a blast! He loved it. :) Merry Christmas to you too!
