It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

It was a pretty great week, which ended with my niece's first birthday party today! It was pink lemonade themed and it turned out so cute! The desserts were spot on - lemon cookies, lemonade cupcakes, fairy wheels - it was adorable. Wyatt loved it too, and put away a few fistfuls of cake.

Seriously, how cute is this cupcake? My niece's maternal aunt made these!

Read Last Week:

I loved School for Unusual Girls - now I can't wait to read the next one.

Joyland was a reread of an old favorite for my book club - my pick. I love this book and it was interesting to hear my book clubbers thoughts!

Reading This Week:

The Roanoke Girls by Amy Engel - A NetGalley read

I will probably throw something else in the mix too - tomorrow is library day!!

Posted Last Week;

Watching:

The Office (American) - this is sometimes almost painful to watch!

The Olympics, and we are about to start Bloodline. Otherwise, just waiting for my regular shows begin.

  2. Yay for Unusual Girls! I liked that one a lot too- and the next one is good. I hope you guys like Bloodline- I enjoy it even though it can be a tad slow moving at times. I think I liked S2 better- not sure. the locations alone are nice. It's been all Olympics over here this week- we've been watching as much as we can.

  3. Yay for HF! I want to read the School for Unusual Girls asap. Glad you enjoyed it. And I found my print copy of The Girls so I'll be reading that sometime this Fall.

    I love those cupcakes, seriously too cute to eat, and the lemonade theme, yum and original! I'm sure Wyatt had a ball at the party.

    I too am watching the Olympics, having fallen into a Netflix rut. I watched both seasons of Bloodline and loved it. Maybe because I've been to the Keys a couple of times when I lived in FL and love it there, or maybe because of the actors: Sissy Spacek, and the men who play the two MC brothers, wow-- they're good! One is from Friday Night Lights, the other was new to me. Enjoy!

  4. What a fun party to attend. It's cute what mamas will do for their babies. I'm planning a fiesta for the 27th for my SIL and husband. His birthday is tomorrow so I'll be making baby back ribs and having a run at my first carrot cake ever. I hope I didn't confuse you a lot from the last post. You know in any hobby there is such a variety of equipment that can be used. For a knitter, needles are the most important ones.
