  1. The Cookbook Collector looks like a story I'd like. I hope your book group enjoys it. I've heard good things about the Cahill Witch series and I want to try it sometime.

    1. I have just started it, and its pretty good! (The Cookbook Collector)

The Cahill Witch series was better than I expected! Star Cursed ends on a bit of a cliffhanger, so now I am anxious to read the next book!

  4. I can't wait for your review of The Ghosts of Chicago. I read that one as well, and really enjoyed the myths and legends, and the ghost stuff, but the legends and histories even more so. The book was great! How is Starcursed? I LOVED Born Wicked, but my copy of its sequel hasn't arrived yet.

Check out what I'm reading this week.

    1. Yes, that is it exactly! I loved all the legends and histories, I learned about events I didn't know happened, like the Iroquois Theater fire. I thought the book was very well done!

Star Cursed was really good too - I didn't like it as much as I liked Born Wicked, but I feel like it was the eye in the storm.

  5. Thank you for sharing these--haven't read any of them yet. However, based on your review, I finally picked up my copy of The Thinking Woman's Guide to Real Magic,--and wow--just what I needed to read at this time. The fantasy is wonderful and I am enjoying it immensely, so thanks!!
