It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

It's Monday What Are You Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, where we share what we are reading and see what others are reading as well.

Read Last Week:

Divergent by Veronica Roth: My sister in law gave me this to read, and I loved it!!! The cool thing about it is that I was in Chicago when I started reading it too! Lol. I took the faction quiz at the end, and my score placed me in Candor.

The Thinking Woman's Guide to Real Magic by Emily Croy Barker: Wow, I absolutely loved this book. Like I am totally infatuated with it, and was sad when it ended - especially since I didn't care for the ending! Now I must wait for the second book, I am sure there must be a second one in the works, right? *desperation in my voice here*

Reading This Week:

Star Cursed by Jessica Spotswood: I have been meaning to read this for two weeks! I am definitely reading it this week. No doubts about it.

The Ghosts of Chicago by Adam Selzer: A little anniversary gift from my husband. (today is our 13th anniversary!) He said that "he loves me so much that he gives me books about dead people." A joke, since I have wanted to read this for months!

  1. I want to jump on that Divergent wagon train so bad. I have it on my Kindle, just so many new ones keep popping up on there. My sisters and cousins are all talking about the third book. Every good husband buys their wife books about dead people - that's how you know you are a good husband.

    1. Has the third book come out? Did they like it?

Yeah,Divergent was awesome!! Jump on the train with us! Lol.

I think you are right, isn't that a benchmark of good husbandness? :)

  2. Chicago is always a good getaway trip! Lots of fun stuff to do there... I still have not read Divergent but it would be kinda neat to be reading it there. :) The faction quiz sounds really cool, I have no idea which faction I would be in but it's fun to wonder.

    1. I agree, Chicago is a good getaway! We had a blast. I feel like Chicago is a small town inside of a big city, if that makes sense. :) The faction quiz was fun - I had no idea where I was going to end up and I actually was pretty surprised at the one I got. Lol.

  3. I'm glad you had a good weekend away! And it's really been years for you? Then I'm especially glad you had a great time! I'm so spoiled. We just got back from vacation and I'm already thinking about where we should go for a long weekend! The Thinking Woman's Guide... caught my eye. I'm glad to hear you loved it! I'll have to get my hands on a copy. Enjoy your week!

    1. Yes! It has sucked too. Lol. My husband was downsized from his company the week before Christmas in 2010, and we have had to budget and readjust our finances because of that. But my husband has been working now for a year, so we felt like we could go on a little trip. We used to take a big trip every year, with some small ones thrown in there! We will be able to do that again soon. :)

I really loved the Thinking Woman's Guide! I kept thinking, this story is perfect. :)

  5. Hehe, I thought Star Cursed had been there last week too, hope you get around to it :) Interesting that you liked Real Magic but didn't like the ending. Not that it's hard to believe, just that it seems rare - but good!

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
