It's Monday, What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey where we share what we have read and what we are reading and see what everyone else is reading.

Read Last Week:

Just a weird aside: I find when I pick up two very different books, there will be one thing the same in them both, that is very coincidental. This time, it was the name Mariah. Mariah was a character in The Wishing Thread, and there was a Mariah in The Night is Forever. This happens to me a lot, and I always think it is strange.

The Wishing Thread by Lisa Van Allen: This was a win from Librarything, and I absolutely loved it! Review to come this week.

The Night is Forever by Heather Graham: I have an addiction to this series.  Review this week.

Omens by Kelley Armstrong: I picked this up because I have enjoyed books by Armstrong in the past; this was very different but just as good. Review this week.

Reading this week:

It's my week of brownish covers! Lol. (Another coincidence!)

Let's Explore Diabetes with Owls by David Sedaris: This is our book club book, and I have to get on it, since book club is Wednesday! I am sure I will be done by then though.

A Moveable Feast by Ernest Hemingway: I am reading this as part of The Classic Club's newest Classic Spin event. I am excited, it was one of the books I had hoped to read.

  2. Oh I want Omens, it is on my wishlist. And that synchronicity thing - happens to me all the time - names, places and more!

I hope you enjoy your reading choices this week!

    1. I was surprised to see Omens just out there on the shelf, all alone. It didn't have to wait long for me to come along and take it home.

Its interesting how the universe works sometimes!

  4. add this to coincidences, i had just commented on someone else's blog about how she ended up reading books on the same topic. it's funny when that happens. it seems so orderly and right, lol!

    1. Another coincidence! So crazy!

I will do that too, end up with books on the same topic, even if I didn't know it before I read it. Maybe it is all subconscious?

  5. Beautiful covers on all of these books. I am also reading a book club book. A bit difficult to get into, since the last book I read was wonderful. But I have a little over a week to finish, so I hope it will be all right :) All the best from Anette in Norway :)

    1. Thanks Anette from Norway! Sometimes I have a hard time getting into a book club book too, they are not always books I would have picked, so it is hard. This David Sedaris one is cracking me up though!

    1. The books I have read in that series as so scattered! I need to make a list and see which ones I have read and which I still need to read. I really enjoy them. :)

  8. I like your eclectic style-- I am that type of reader also. I haven't read Heather Graham books though she has been writing forever and has different series. Maybe I will try this one and see if it for me. I read The Wishing Thread last month and am waiting on Omens. I want to start an Armstrong series from the first book--here is my chance. Enjoy your week, thanks for sharing.

    1. I pretty much like to read everything. :) Except science fiction, I just can't get into it!

I know right, I feel like I have been reading Heather Graham since high school, and I probably have. Lol.

And I think this is the first Armstrong book that I have read the first in the series of as well. :)

    1. I really enjoyed them both, although they couldn't have been more different! Except for the New York connection, that is.

  10. I hope you're enjoying the new Sedaris. I really want to get my hands on that one of these days. Oooh, hooray for Hemingway! I decided not to do the latest spin because I'm reading Les Mis right now. That's as much classic as I can take for one month ;)

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
