It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a weekly blog meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey where you list the books you read last week and the ones you hope to read this week.
Read Last Week:
Dark Places by Gillian Flynn: I love this author's books, and I had to read them all!
Thornyhold by Mary Stewart: Sometimes I just need to read a Gothic Romance.
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn: Ditto what I said about Dark Places. (my reviews for these coming up soon)
Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich: Very disappointing.
Reading This Week:
Say Nice Things About Detroit by Scott Lasser: Being from Detroit, I really look forward to reading this.
Wild by Cheryl Strayed: I was trying to wait for this to come in from the library, but I couldn't! I kept seeing it everywhere, and when I saw it here, I knew I needed to buy it.
Never Knowing by Chevy Stevens: A recommendation from a friend, a perfect follow up to Gillian Flynn, I think.
I'm curious about Say Nice Things About Detroit as well as Wild. Let me know about them. Have you read "Same Kind of Different As Me?" I just started it and it, so far, is great.
ReplyDeleteI haven't! I will have to check it out! When I am finished with Wild you can borrow it. I have heard great things about it, so I am expecting it to be really good. I will let you know how they both are. :)
DeleteIf you're done with it by the 19th, I'll borrow it at book club :) Same Kind of Different is a true story. It had good reviews too.
ReplyDeleteI hope you didn't buy Never Knowing. I would have given you mine!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks! I actually did get that at the library, I was excited that it was in!! Thanks though!
ReplyDeleteI have been curious about Wild as well. I look forward to reading your thoughts on it. Happy Reading!

I have to keep reading Gillian Flynn too. Can't wait for your reviews.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't a fan of Gone Girl but definitely want to try her debut. I also would have said to try Chevy Stevens but her debut, I haven't read the other.
ReplyDeleteWild sounds like it could be really cool! Plus, a girl-power kind of book to motivate me :-)
ReplyDeleteI've read Thornyhold a few times and I remember loving it. I should re-read it sometime. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteI love the cover for Dark Places, and Wild is one I want to read as well.
