The Sunday Post/It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

Whew it was a doozy of a week! Midterms, a teething baby, and a husband with the flu!!! I was actually more prolific on the blog this week too; I think with everything going on, I needed some time to relax, and I found that here.

This week we celebrate Wyatt's first birthday! I am so excited, and I seriously can't believe it has been a year already. Where did the time go? We are having a Where the Wild Things Are themed party for him - I can't wait! It is also book club week, which is always fun.

Read Last Week:

Hope Unfolding by Becky Thompson: I think with my crazy week, this was the perfect read. Review coming soon.

Reading this week:

Pretty Baby by Mary Kubica: I will probably start this one, although I need to concentrate on Neanderthal Seeks Human - which is our book club book!

I am also still chugging along on the Oregon Trail book by Rinker Buck!

Watching:

The Walking Dead, Top Chef, iZombie, and The Originals are my current favorites right now, with the addition of 11/22/63. 11/22/63 is amazing so far!!! And it doesn't hurt that I have a huge crush on James Franco anyway.

Posted Last Week:

So what is the happs with you?

    1. It was! I couldn't believe I had midterms on top of it. College was much easier the first time around, when it was just me I was taking care of. Lol.

      Thanks!!

  3. Happy birthday to the little guy! And enjoy the party. I've been getting into TWD- I'm finally all caught up. Been bingin on and off the last few months- had never seen it before. What did you think of Rick and Michonne? This season is kinda crazy... :)

    1. Thanks!!

Omg it's my favorite show on television I think! Have you read the comics/graphic novels? They are supposed to be really good. I was shocked by Rick and Michonne! I think it was inevitable honestly, as two of the biggest alpha personalities in the bunch, but I also think it shows just how relaxed they are starting to feel in Alexandria. Maybe too relaxed.. I am an episode behind now, and I am anxious to see what the deal is with the guy who says everyone calls him Jesus! I call him Jesus Ninja Hipster guy personally. Lol.

    2. I have not read the comics at all. There are so many and I guess there are a lot of changes, like Daryl doesn't even exist in the comics. And I agree- just when things seem relaxed, it probalby means trouble is coming LOL. I kinda like Rick and Michonn... and I need more Carol! Am I wrong for just wanting them to be OK for a while? :)

I just watched the last episode last night and thought it was pretty good, it was nice to see Rick and Michonne and Daryl in action. A lot of big stuff coming, apparently...

  5. Happy Wyatt! What a wonderful milestone; I remember when he was born and the hopes and joys you had for his future. The party theme is creative and fun.

I have had a rough week and possible rough week to come so I need more mellow reads to dive into. Am checking out yours....

    1. Thanks Rita! I can't believe he is getting to be such a big boy - he even looks less babylike and more toddler. :(
