The Sunday Post/It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday What Are You Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey - while she is on break you can share your post by tweeting with the hashtag #IMWAYR

I hope everyone in the U.S. had a wonderful 4th of July holiday! We had a great time with family. If you want, you can read about our weekend here

Wyatt's bruiser look - headed to the street fair.

I have also added returning to college to my schedule for the summer. I am enjoying my classes, particularly astronomy, but wow school is much harder with a baby! Lol.

Finished Reading:

Those Girls by Chevy Stevens: A few of Stevens' more recent books have fallen flat for me, but this one was back to her old standards. I couldn't put it down!

Reading This Week:

Made in the U.S.A. by Billie Letts: So far, I love it!

The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins: I meant to read this last week, but then Those Girls fell into my lap and I was obsessed.

Watching:

We just watched The Island on Hulu - it was so good!  We also just watched Secrets and Lies- also very good.

  1. Your son is adorable! I'm glad your classes are going well. Good luck with everything!

I haven't read Chevy Stevens though she is really popular at my library and I do own one of her books on Kindle (Still Missing). I'm glad you enjoyed the new book.

    1. Thanks!

Still Missing is probably my favorite of all the Stevens books. The last one I read, That Night, was kind of stinky. Lol. This one was much better!

Hope you guys are having a great weekend. It's been nice over the last few days, warm and sunny- hope your side of the state is nice too!

It was a fabulous weekend with great weather over here too. This week looks like it will be rainy off and on though. :(

I loved Still Missing too - then I really didn't like That Night. This one is much better!

Some Chevy Stevens are better than others - Still Missing is really good, probably my favorite. :)

  6. Oh, and school! I'm impressed! I can't even stir up the energy to do some self study to get a new certification and a raise at work.

    1. I am kind of rethinking my decision, so I appreciate the encouragement! I won't quite the semester but I feel like it was maybe a bit too soon to go back. Lol. You will know when the time is right for you. :)

    1. Thank you! I think I am going to have to balance out The Library with something a little more lighthearted - my last two reads have been a little dark! I am excited to read it though, it sounds amazing.

  11. Oh, I wish I was there in person to give Wyatt a big hug, lol! What a cutie, so handsome.
I also want to read Those Girls. I just finished That Night and enjoyed it, but not as much as the first two Chevy Stevens books.
Glad to hear you get out of the house to go to school. Astronomy is fun; I took it in high school but not college. Is that an elective or are you going for a science degree now?

    1. Aw thank Rita!! He is a pretty cuddly guy too, he loves hugs.

No, just an elective. I have always enjoyed science but more of the explanation side of things - I am so not good at math! Like I would like to read and learn about the history of astronomy and constellations, but not figure out all those equations!

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
