It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date

It has been a great week, full of family and fun and friends. Last Friday we went out for my friend's bachelorette dinner, and had a blast! It was really the first time I had done something like that since Wyatt was born, and I was actually kind of anxious! Lol. We had a great time though. We ended the night at The Whitney, which is a grand old mansion from the late 1800s in Detroit. We had fancy dessert in the dessert parlor and drinks, including tableside Spanish Coffee. And now that I have one of these nights down again, I will have to make sure there are others in the future!

Read Last Week:

I was hoping that my hold of Legendary would have come in, but it didn't. None of my holds did! So I picked up a book I hadn't read yet by one of my faves, Jenny Colgan. And I loved it. Of course.

When I finished, I started this Karen White book. A long, long time ago I read the first in this series. Now, I am reading the fifth, without having read the ones in between. Lol. It hasn't really slowed me down though. Although, this main character is hard to warm up to!

Reading This Week:

I did get word that this came in and is waiting for me! Yay! So this week for sure. I loved Caraval so I am very excited.

Watching:

Godless! It is so good. We are almost done with it, as it is only 7 episodes or so. It is really so well done!

How about you all? What is going on with you?

  1. It's funny how you get out of practice going out after a while, isn't it? Or at least that's how it feels for me now sometimes. :) Glad you had a good week! Legendary (and caraval) are on my TBR- I need to get to 'em.

    Have a great week!

And I am so out of practice! Lol. It was really weird how that happened!

  2. Going out when the kids are young is challenging, especially with the first one.

    Glad you enjoyed the evening.

I started Karen White's books with The House on Tradd Street, and went on to love many more of her books. But I still have a couple of Tradd Street books to read. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

    1. It really is!! I had a great time, and can't wait to do it again. :)

I am going to have to read the Tradd Street books that are in between #1 and #5, lol. I love her other books, but this series is just ok to me. But ok enough that I want to read them all! Lol.

  8. I am thankful I haven't become a total hermit and have two friends that have us meet up for dinner about 2-3 times a year. Does Spanish coffee taste different that the usual coffee?

    1. Yes! And has quite a bit of liquor in it too...

I do have my book club (same people lol) but this was the first time I have gotten all dressed up and straightened my hair, to go out in a very long time lol. It was fun.

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
