Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
Today was an absolutely gorgeous day out! We spent a majority of it outside, then realized we had to do some adult grown up things like work and clean and had to stop playing. Lol. It was a great day!
Wyatt also has his end of the year preschool concert today (Monday). I am so excited to see him with the rest of his class! I am pretty sure I am going to see him playing some sort of loud instrument, he loves music so much.
Read Last Week:
The High Tide Club - I love MKA! It took me a minute or two to get into this book; then I couldn't stop reading it!! Review this week.
Red Queen - I picked this up from the library and devoured it. I really enjoyed this one as well!
Reading This Week:
Legendary by Stephanie Garber (if it comes in! I am first in line though on the library holds list so I am assuming I will get it)
Beautiful Exiles - I started this and I am really enjoying taking my time with it. There is a lot to take in, the Spanish War, writing, Hemingway himself. I always wish I was in the Keys or drinking while reading it though. LOL.
Watching:
Godless - so good so far! Jeff Daniels is almost unrecognizable from his previous roles. I love him, and he is a fellow Michigander!
Schitt's Creek for comic relief ( I love the Levys), and iZombie, which was really good this season. I am so bummed it was such a short season! I think we are going to start Jessica Jones season 2 this week, and I am going to watch The Chalet (my husband is not interested so its all me!)
I've also been enjoying listening to Podcasts on Stitcher. Anyone listen to any good podcasts? I am always looking for new ones.
How productive you are. We've had a lazy day but the husband bought and replaced my CRV battery which had died when I was picking up the kids for the party. Thank goodness my neighbor was home and able to give us a ride. I love seeing Wyatt; he has such a sweet face and his smile lights up his face.
ReplyDeleteGood neighbors are the best! A lot of times we think of moving but we love our little street of neighbors right now. :)
DeleteMy little guy is sunshine and happiness. :)
Aw, I hope you guys have a great preschool concert. My little guy is still singing his preschool songs. :)
ReplyDeleteWyatt was a little overwhelmed and didn't participate too much lol. He was adorable though. :) It was a cute little concert. :) And I see us singing these songs for quite a while....
DeleteHa you'll probably get drums :) But yeah was today awesome or what? Yesterday was even better, at least over here. Sunnier. Have fun w/ Jessica Jones 2! I liked it and The Chalet was good too. Creepiest intro ever!!
ReplyDeleteLol he is definitely about the louder the better! He had a little instrument that you shake though, and he did enjoy shaking it around! This weather is amazing. It can stay like this all summer!
DeleteOo I am looking forward to The Chalet now!
We had a cold rainy weekend which was great for reading but not good for much else. I agree that your music lover has lots of opportunities to choose a nice LOUD instrument. How about a tuba? Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteOh no yucky rain! I think that rain is heading our way too. I heard storms are in our forecast. :( Hahaha he would probably LOVE a tuba!
DeleteI'm trying out a few new podcasts. At the moment I like On Being and the latest was an interview with Maria Shriver which of course makes me want to read her book. I enjoyed the MKA book too.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad the weather has been nice. A preschool concert sounds like it might be headache-inducing for the grownups. I hope you’re having a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I am trying to watch the Marvel things in order. So I'm not up to Jessica Jones S2. I'm on the second season of Daredevil. Enjoy your books!
