Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post!
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
So last week was insane. Wyatt was still dealing with his cold and teething (the second tooth was trying to come in) and didn't want to eat. As a preemie, he is already underweight and we struggle daily to get him to gain. Needless to say, I was very busy with the boy last week, between his cold, his teething, and getting him to eat. However, we did manage to have a great Thanksgiving with our families! We have a lot to be thankful for this year. I hope that all of you who celebrate Thanksgiving enjoyed your holiday as well.
Read Last Week:
Nothing ~ crossing my fingers that things are a little more back to normal this week for my guy. Poor little fellow needs a break! He does have two new adorable teeth though!
Reading This Week:
Watching:
The Man in the High Castle and Jessica Jones - both are really good but not exactly feel good shows. I am looking forward to adding Christmas movies into the mix!
I apologize for not commenting or responding last week ~ the week just got away from me!
Ah, surviving the teething. Good times. :) Glad you had a good Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteJessica Jones is a bit dark isn't it? I watched em all over the last week and at one point I was like lighten up a bit please. :) I liked it but had some mixed feelings...
That was tough - I can't believe we have to go through that again and again. Lol.
DeleteIt really is. I am enjoying it but I can't binge watch it like I do other shows. At the most I can watch two episodes. It's just so - dark.
I hope Wyatt does feel better this week! I added Jessica Jones to our queue but we haven't started it yet. Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I hope you enjoy Jessica Jones - we are liking it so far! I just can't watch a bunch of episodes in one night like I might with other shows, it's just a little heavy. :)
DeleteGlad things went well for your Thanksgiving. Hope Wyatt's feeling better! Enjoy your cozy Christmas reads, now that the weather has turned wintry for sure!
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie! I am looking forward to having some time to read those Christmas books! :)
DeleteGlad all went well. Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI'm glad you enjoyed Thanksgiving and hope the teething passes quickly... or that you find the good drugs! (I don't have kids but remember baby panadol being a savour when my niece was little!)
ReplyDeleteLol! We did end up giving him a dose of Children's Tylenol one night - he was in so much pain and nothing was relieving it. It did its work and he felt much better and got some sleep - and so did we!
DeleteTeething is tough anyway, but even worse with a cold! Sorry you had such a difficult week. I remember having some gel-filled rings that we put in the freezer... the girls all chewed on those. Must have felt good on their gums. Hope things are better now. Also hope you get a chance to read a little this week. The books look good :)
DeleteI will have to give those a try! Poor little guy seems to be having a hard time finding relief.
DeleteI hope the little one feels better soon... It sounds rough with the cold on top of teething, which is already a hard time in itself! Hang in there mama!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you have some cosy winter reads coming up!
Reading With Jade
It's been a rough few weeks for him! Hopefully we are nearing the end of both the cold and teething - I can see the light! Lol.
DeleteHope everything goes okay. Between a cold and teething, he sounds like a miserable young fellow. Here is my Monday Report. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteHe really is poor guy. He is usually the happiest baby around but he is kind of cranky lately, and rightfully so. :(
DeleteThe last week was an unusual week with the busyness of a holiday. Both your books look really nice reads. Have read one or two by both authors.
ReplyDeleteThanks! And the week was crazy time - I think this time of year gets a little crazy though. Lol.
DeleteGlad Thanksgiving for you was lovely but not happy to read about Wyatt still suffering. I didn't know he was a preemie. Sending out healing vibes...
ReplyDeleteThanks Stefanie. I am hoping we are nearing the end of both the teething and the cold. We appreciate the healing vibes!
DeleteYes, he was born 7 weeks early - he couldn't wait to join the world. He was a teeny tiny 2lbs 15 oz at birth, and is doing pretty good now. He still is not the best at weight gain but he is working on it! :)
