It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, that is guaranteed to add to your reading list.
I have been so restless and unable to concentrate lately! Maybe it is this weird in-between time - not quite summer, not quite fall. I also go back to school this week, and work next week! Or I guess it could just be the reading blahs.
Read Last Week:
Not much!
A Deadly Grind by Victoria Hamilton: I picked this up at the library, thinking a little cozy mystery might perk me up, but it didn't happen. I read it but wasn't too enthralled.
Reading This Week:
Not sure how it will go, but this is my plan, one or two from this list. I chose some fun books to see if it helps.
Better Homes and Hauntings by Molly Harper: I picked this up after seeing this author on Midnight Book Girl. I can't wait to dig in to her other books this fall!
Lowcountry Bombshell by Susan M. Boyer: Another mystery, set in the south this time, two of my favorite things!
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon: I am rereading this for the millionth time. I am loving the show!
The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness: This looks like a fun one to dig into. I didn't like the second one as much as the first, we will see how this one goes.
Posted Last Week:
Hope you get your reading mojo back on. Sometimes a rest from reading helps. Will be interesting to find out next week what got you enthused again.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am hoping that these reading blahs pass soon. I miss reading! Lol.
DeleteThis in-between time is definitely strange... our leaves are beginning to change , but it's not quite fall yet. I've seen some good reviews for Lowcountry Bombshell. Hope it's just the thing to chase away the reading blahs!
ReplyDeleteThat is how it is here too, like fall is peeking its head out but not committing. :)
DeleteThanks JoAnn!
Sorry you are in a slump! Hopefully your fun reads will help with the blahs. Have a great week back at school. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jennifer! :)
DeleteA Deadly Grind looks cute. Always love cozies, and I haven't read one for a long time.
ReplyDeleteLowcountry Bombshell sounds funny...will have to check it out.
Thanks for sharing. Have a great reading week.

My It's Monday, What Are You Reading
I WISH I could watch the Outlander show! No network TV for us. I'll just have to wait, but completely impatiently.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a mysterious week - you've got a few mysteries in your list. :) I've read Outlander, but haven't watched any of the show. Hopefully rereading a favorite will banish the reading blahs for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm reading a cozy too at the moment... it's not bad. Must be the time of year, I agree. End of summer, fall approaching... which I love. Bring on the mysteries! :) I am sorry to see summer go though.
ReplyDeleteBetter Homes and Hauntings looks like an easy, light read. I know your feeling of blah and unsettled; I am going through that again this week where my chosen books are just not pulling me in and I am starting and stopping a few others. I think end of summer is an exciting time for some, melancholy for others and all around just an unsettling time. Hope you get your book "mojo" turned on soon.
