It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, that is guaranteed to add to your reading list.

Read Last Week:

Mastering the Art of French Eating by Ann Mah: I loved this book, and it also made me really hungry. Lol.

The Fever by Megan Abbott: I felt a little ho-hum about this book. You can read my review here

Reading This Week:

I am working on my NetGalley reads this week!

The Fragile World by Paula Treick DeBoard: I read The Mourning Hour by DeBoard last year and loved it! I am really looking forward to reading her newest.

The Betrayed by Heather Graham: Yet another Krewe of Hunters.

The Girls of August by Anne Rivers Siddons: I have been a fan of Siddons' since I was in high school! Her last book left me feeling a little blah though, so I am hoping this one rekindles her old magic.

    1. Mine just kept piling up! My mom had knee surgery, and while I was waiting I requested too many books. Lol. I have to get reading!

I read Krewe of Hunters here and there, I don't think I have read them all though. They are fun though!

  2. California sounds good, nice review. Even if it's a little slow, the premise has me intrigued and I just like the idea of them trying to survive in the post-apoc wilderness. Plus the communities owned by big companies sounds interesting. I think I'll get it.

    1. Thanks! I did like it, although it was slow. I am a big fan of dystopia, so this fit right in.

  3. I really want to read Mastering the Art of French eating - it sounds delicious! Anne Rivers Siddons used to be a favorite of mine, too, but I haven't read her in years. Was thinking The Girls of August might draw me back... can't wait to hear what you think of it.

I am hoping that this one is as good as the books I loved of hers. Fingers crossed!

  6. I now will add The Fragile World to my wishlist since I still have The Mourning Hour on it and haven't yet picked it up. I read your post about comparing The Fever and Conversion. I started talking about waiting for Conversion before its release but haven't gotten it yet. I add The Fever later on, and was a bit confused about why this sudden interest in Salem witch trials and also the case of the girls in NY state (a true item) who acted possessed at the same time. I now want to read Conversion asap but will not be reading The Fever. Thanks for your post on comparing them, I forgot to comment on it, but am doing so here :)

  10. Mastering the Art of French Eating sounds amazing. And I'm much more likely to master French eating than French cooking. :) I'll have to check this one out!

  11. Kudos on catching up with your Netgalley reading! It piles up quickly, doesn't it? And it's easy to forget because the books aren't staring you down from your bookshelves!

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
