It's Monday, What Are You Reading is a weekly blog meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey where you list the books you read last week and the ones you hope to read this week.
Read Last Week:
A Clash of Kings by George R.R.Martin: I loved this book, and I love the series so far. These books are so intense, and for me, emotional with all the animal stuff. I am so sensitive to animal stuff in books, sometimes I don't even read them if I know animals are abused or die. But I made it through this book, and I am looking forward to the next in the series. I just need to wait a bit before I start it, let this one sink in.
Reading this week:
How to be a Woman by Caitlin Moran: This book comes on a good recommendation from one of my good friends. I am excited to read it.
Rules by Cynthia Lord: This book is in our school library, where I work. I have been wanting to read this book for a while, and this week on break I am finally getting to to it.
I haven't read or watch Game of Thrones yet. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteRules looks cute from the cover. :-)
Enjoy your reading week.
Thanks! You too! :)
DeleteI am loving A Clash of Kings right now, but I'm afraid to get attached to characters, since in Game of Thrones, he killed off a couple of them (and hence some of the actors I was glad to see in the series)
ReplyDeleteI know! You get so attached to these people! I keep my fingers crossed for so many of them.
DeleteRules has a cute cover. My favorite read this week was Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan. Please come see what else I'm reading.
ReplyDeleteI read Clash of Kings years ago and have been meaning to revisit it as I watch the series. You can check out my Monday here

ReplyDeleteHere's MY MONDAY MEMES POST
Woo Clash of Kings! Hope you like it! I have seen that 'How To Be a Woman' book in Waterstones- looks good but I can never be bothered to read it! I'll wait for your review and see if that changes my mind :-P
ReplyDeleteNew follower :-)

I haven't read any of the King Of Thrones series - not sure they are my cup of tea. Hope you are enjoying them, though.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Kristin @ Always With a Book
Both books have very different and interesting covers.
ReplyDeleteOh, a Storm of Swords might be my favorite of the series so far! You should be in for a treat! I'm funny about animal stuff too. I refused to see Warhorse until someone told me if the horse is alive and happy at the end. Enjoy your week!
