Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date
We had another fun week ~ I had book club, then Billy and I had a fun date night at the Detroit Zoo for their bike safari event, which was awesome! Next time we go we want my brother and SIL to go too - it will be fun to have some adult hang out time with them again. On Saturday, we did go to the Detroit Historical Museum with them and then for ice cream, which was a great time. The Detroit Historical Museum has a lot of really great exhibits, if you are ever in the neighborhood.
We also lunched on crepes in honor of the start of the Tour de France! I know one little guy who loved them!
Read Last Week:
Everything We Keep by Kerry Lonsdale: I got this in the mail from the publisher to review. I of course started reading it almost immediately, and then found I had a hard time putting it down! So good. I am looking forward to the sequel.
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne: I loved this so much more than I imagined! A very fun, and different, romance.
Reading This Week:
Same Beach, Next Year by Dorothea Benton Frank: I usually love Frank's books. I am a little nervous about where this one seems to be heading, but I am only a tiny bit of the way in.
Watching:
The Tour de France, The Ranch, GLOW, Outsiders, iZombie

What have you guys been up to?
Have a great 4th of July, if you celebrate!
Crepes are so yummy. My youngest wants to go back to the crepe place we went to on her birthday. My husband is supposed to try out BBQing on the 4th. I got him some basic sausages and I'll be marinating meat tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteThey are! Wyatt had a banana, nutella, and graham cracker one. I had a bite and it was awesome. Lol. Have fun on the 4th!
DeleteThat's a great pic- little guy looks happy. :) And yay for the Tour! I don't usually watch it but I do like hearing about all the updates.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a great week! I keep hearing that GLOW is awesome and I need to try it. Hope you guys have a nice 4th!
He was cracking up. Lol. I guess it was all that sugar. We are excited! We don't always watch all four hours everyday, but we do try to watch the last hour or so on busy days. It gets pretty exciting!
DeleteGLOW was really good. I didn't want to watch it at first but then we binged on it, it was so good. Lol. I love Alison Brie though. I was a big fan of Community.
Sounds like you had a great week. I hope this one is wonderful too. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We did have a great time. :)
DeleteI have a copy of Everything We Keep...must bring it forward! Enjoy your week, and I love the photo! Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed it. More than I thought I would, honestly. Lol. Thank you!
Delete3 Fab looking books, now you have made me want to read the first two and a DBF I usually enjoy too!
ReplyDeleteLol! I loved the first two books, which I was a tiny bit surprised about! I didn't anticipate enjoying them as much as I did. They were great reads.
DeleteSounds like you had fun at the zoo and at the museum. My kids love crepes too. Drama camp was a hit with my daughter. My son is doing well with cross country. And our big move is less than two weeks away! Come see what I've been reading
ReplyDeleteWyatt went nuts over that crepe. I am going to have to definitely go back again with the little guy.
DeleteI went to the Detroit Historical Museum for the first time last year, and I really enjoyed it. I'm planning to take my husband sometime soon, because I know he'll love it. Happy Fourth of July!
ReplyDeleteThey just updated one of their exhibits and it is very well done. Definitely go back! It is such a great museum. :) Hope you had a wonderful 4th!
DeleteWhat a fun week! You guys are having a great summer.
ReplyDeleteIt's been great so far! Flying by way too fast though.
DeleteOh my gosh. That photo is precious! Hope yall have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLol, he has such a big laugh too. He is tiny with this great big laugh. I love it. :)
DeleteOh my goodness, yes about "The Hating Game"! A girl at my library recommended it and I checked it out to be nice, basically. And then I read it and absolutely LOVED it. I was really surprised by it. I recently bought "Dating You/Hating You" and I feel like it's going to be similar? We'll see.
