The Sunday Post/It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

Check out the The Caffeinated Book Review for the Sunday Post
It's Monday! What Are You Reading is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date!

Last week I am terming the week of the Not-so-Funtastic Cold! My cousin's daughter had a birthday party at one of those indoor playground things. and boom, a few days later, our household was down for the count! Yuck, to early spring colds. Needless to say, I didn't get much reading done while taking care of a sick two year old.  I also had book club, which was a fun reprieve!

Read Last Week:

I did get a chance to flip through this and I am hooked. I can't wait to hygge my life. Lol. I also ordered the book The Little Book of Hygge!

Reading This Week:

Forever a Hero by Linda Lael Miller: I received this in the mail last week, which was perfect timing really. When I did get a chance to read, this was a great escape! I didn't finish it although I plan to this week.

The Breakdown by B.A. Paris: From NetGalley. Paris' last book truly scared me so much I had to set it down! I am looking forward to  this new thriller.

Watching:

We did a lot of tv watching last week! Lol. Big Little Lies, The Path, Victoria, Bones, The Crown, Schitt's Creek for some "Levy-ty" (bad Eugene Levy pun. Sorry. Lol.)

So how are all of you? What have you been up to?

    1. The hype about hygge, I like that. :) It's all about coziness and outdoors and enjoying life.

  3. I'm so sorry your ohana got hit with a cold. I hope you're not suffering too much, especially Wyatt, and thank goodness you have enough energy to read and take it easy. Our easy Sunday enabled me to work on three posts. My book post is scheduled for tomorrow in the wee hours. And my husband "cooked" today = ordered pizza delivery.

    2. :) We took a lovely family nap for two hours yesterday, to the sound of the falling rain. It was a good moment, despite being sick. :)

And pizza yum! I never turn that down. Lol.

  5. Ooh yeah those playhouse places... germ city unfortunately. That's happened here too. :) How to Hygge looks interesting. Isn't that like a Nordic or Danish thing? I happen to reading a book about Finland at the moment, so I'm all on about the Scandinavian thing at the moment lol.

I am really liking Big Little Lies.

    1. Yeah, super germy!! I thought we cleaned him up well enough - guess not! It is Danish/Nordic lifestyle, it means cozy social or something like that. It's about being with friends, and enjoying life and its moments, and also being surrounded by coziness and warmth. I am super into Scandi stuff right now!

Omg I love Big Little Lies. It is really well done.

  10. I am very interested in hygge, but I've wondered how much new information the books can give me. Do you feel like you are getting a lot of new ideas from How to Hygge?

I hope everyone gets healthy in your family and stays that way!

    1. If it is something you are already doing or learning about, I would probably not recommend How to Hygge. How to Hygge was more of an intro book, about the lifestyle and how it all works. I have been searching youtube and pinterest for ideas on what to do. :)

      Thanks Lindsey!

I love hearing from people, don't be shy! I would love to hear what you think! I always reply back, although it takes me a bit longer these days due to the little guy.
