It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey, that is guaranteed to add to your reading list.

It was book fair week! I worked my tail off, but it was well worth it! It was a great success for both the library and for the students. I also went to a Christopher Moore book signing and had a blast!! He is hilarious! He was signing copies of his new book The Serpent of Venice, which of course I had signed as well. I will be posting about that night very soon!

Read Last Week:

Shotgun Lovesongs by Nickolas Butler: I loved this book! Well, until the ending. Then it kind of went crazy. But until that point, I was loving it.

The Cursed by Heather Graham: I really enjoy the Krewe of Hunters series. This one took place in Key West, which I enjoyed reading about.

Wild Iris Ridge by RaeAnne Thayne: Fun little book, that helped me unwind from my long days and nights.

Reading This Week:

That Night by Chevy Stevens: From NetGalley. I am excited to read this one.

The Widow's Walk by Robert Barclay: A win from LibraryThing, I love the cover!

Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor: Still reading this awkward fat book. It's good but physically difficult to read! Lol.

  1. I liked Wild Iris Ridge. I enjoy that series and agree that the books are a great way to unwind. That Night sounds really good and so does The Widow's Walk. Looks like you have some really compelling books for this week.

Whenever I finally get round to finishing the Laini Taylor books, I think I will read them on Kindle. They are huge!

    1. Yeah, Wild Iris Ridge was simple and easy and a great way to relax. :) I brought Widows Walk with me to work today- I hope to start it at lunch. :)

I am thinking I should have bought the kindle version of Dreams of Gods and Monsters!

    1. I don't read much of her stuff, but I do always read the Krewe of Hunters series from NetGalley. :) This is my first Robert Barclay, I will probably have to look for his other work. :)

  4. Nice review of Shotgun Lovesongs- I'm curious about the end now! Too bad that was disappointing, but still sounds like a worthwhile read.

    Enjoy your reads this week!

  5. Lots of good looking books. I tried RaeAnne Thayer once but didn't really get very rapt by it so haven't read her since.

    1. Thanks! Yeah, her books are not really ground-breaking but I find them easy, gentle reads, which I need sometimes, based on how crazy my life gets. :)

  6. I just finished Dreams of God's & Monsters today . I cheated and listened to it on audio but I think I'd like to reread it although I read the first chapter like 4 times already :/ . I didn't know what to think of the dreams Eliza was having. I mean it was fitting but GOSH! As the story progressed we see the terrible monsters are real and they weren't out to get Eliza but the whole world Lol! haha what did you think about Eliza's nightmares?

    1. My husband is listening to it too. I am sure he will be done with it by tonight! He is bugging me to hurry up so we can talk about it. Lol. Maybe I should just go home after work and read and read? :) I know Eliza is having dreams but other than that I don't know anything else about it. :) I will let you know when I read further. :)
