My babes got read to and spoken to often beginning when they were babes home with dad and once they started talking (and even today) we have people comment on the size of their vocabularies and the words they choose in general conversations! Babies and children are taking everything in and absorbing it from the words you speak to the tone to the body language...they're like your own personal NSA, constantly spying on you and taking thorough notes! ;) thoughtful mammahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05101190032476967833noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525935409718931244.post-78124554686463509222015-05-19T19:12:58.220-07:002015-05-19T19:12:58.220-07:00Anytime a parent talks to their child, regardless ...Anytime a parent talks to their child, regardless of whether they understand, is quality time for them. In my area they play a public service tv commercial stating that point. What a great tradition! When my son was homeschooled for awhile years ago we used to take turns reading out loud alternating chapters of the first two Harry Potter books. I miss those days; it was a fun time.
I am a big fan of Watership Down but haven't read it since my 20s. I think he still benefits from it though. :)

I have heard good things about Scandal! I should watch it sometime. Funny, it was referenced briefly in the book I just read, which was set in the early 1900's- I didn't realize it had been written that long ago. Interesting. I should read it one of these days. And Beach Town looks like a nice warm weather read!

Have a great week. Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17515345156687765162noreply@blogger.com
