I am having a good time planning and purchasing and getting rid of stuff. :) Isn't it funny how much of a difference just one item can make?

We used to read together all the time when we first started dating a hundred years ago - then it kind of ended, and we just started again with The Oregon Trail by Rinker Buck. It was so fun that we are going to try it again. We just need to find the right book. I am hoping that The Happiness of Pursuit works out. :) Our little book club is fun. :)Erin @ Quixotic Magpiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10528275471104279266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525935409718931244.post-72401753351747350792016-04-06T06:32:18.097-07:002016-04-06T06:32:18.097-07:00Thanks Stefanie! I still have an open tab to Kathryn's post because I have been trying to read it for days now. I was all of a sudden crazy busy. That is a real shame - I am such a fan of cozy mysteries; I wonder which ones were stopped. That is a big time bummer. :(

I am pretty excited. I looked around one day and was like, wow we have had this same art, paint, etc for years and years now - time for a change! We are kind of doing the opposite with paint color - our house is many colors right now, and we are thinking about adding a few rooms painted white. Eeek! White paint scares me more than color. But I guess if I hate it, it is easy to paint again. :) My husband had a whole red room (not like in those books that will not be named!) for a while - he loved it! It was a bit much for me - one wall probably would have been A LOT better. Lol. He is such a hard little worker and fighter, and is the happiest little guy too.

I really enjoy that series - I think it gets better and better!

I love my archaeology class ~ I didn't really need it, but I did need another class so I could receive financial aid. So I decided to pick one that sounded fun. It is a lot of work, but I love it. In another lifetime I would like to be an archaeologist, I think. The Stonehenge chapter was really interesting! That Nova program had some cool stuff in it, if you have Amazon Prime. I am not sure it is on Netflix, but my professor did say its available on YouTube. It's funny because neither my husband nor I are very tall, and he is kind of a tall baby/toddler.

I am the opposite, I have never read Agatha Raisin! What great news to hear. I've added that cozy series to my TBR. Did you read on Kathryn's blog that posted a link to another post that some cozy mystery series have been abruptly stopped b/c the author's contract wasn't renewed or maybe terminated? The merge of Penguin and Random said there was an overpurchase in the cozy genre which is why the former happened. What a bummer for fans of certain series. I may be reading more cozies this year. And the dreaming of the remodeling sounds great. I still need to paint here; gonna wait for the kids to be out of school. Changing wall color is fun. It was my dream to have color in the house. The living room/dining room areas were inspired by these Hawaiian prints my parents gifted us one Christmas. I wanted the husband to have his "red" wall; it's more a cayenne pepper.Stefaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09081916135477167930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7525935409718931244.post-35549772664932608022016-04-04T12:17:17.616-07:002016-04-04T12:17:17.616-07:00Glad to hear that your son is doing well. He is just growing up so quickly! Good luck with his progress.

Glad you liked the new Patricia Briggs. I'm two books behind you in this series.

I didn't know you were taking archaeology! Is that a required class, or are you going for that in school? Still staying in the library field? I love the subject, minored in anthropology in college first time around and had to take an archaeology class back then. I also have an interest in Henges, such as Stonehenge. Cozy mysteries are perfect reading for this kind of weather.

Good luck with all your house plans. I need to really downsize my apartment. I have way too much stuff for the space I have and it will make it easier for moving in the future. Sounds like the little guy is making big strides, too - that's great! I like M.C.Beaton's Agatha Raisin series, but have never tried Hamish Macbeth. Also learned last week that she wrote an Edwardian Murder series and added the first one, Snobbery with Violence, to my wish list. Gotta change it up once in a while. :) Fire Touched looks good, I just got moon Called so I'll be starting that series soon (and I'm hoping i'll like it since I'm trying a few different urban fantasies).

The Walking Dead- don't know what to say. I didn't see tonights (will watch tomorrow) but judging from Twitter there's mixed feelings, to say the least. And yeah last week with the Daryl getting shot - I was like really? I don't know about some of their decisions lately. :) Oh and I do like Nova too- they have the coolest stuff sometimes. Greghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17515345156687765162noreply@blogger.com
